The Jones family entered the lumber business in 1926, building its foundation alongside the mills, forests, and communities of the Pacific Northwest. Early generations gained hands-on knowledge of timber, grades, and milling practices—experience earned through decades of working directly with producers and customers.
As the industry evolved, so did the family’s role. What began as direct involvement in lumber production ultimately grew into a brokerage focused on relationships, reliability, and deep product understanding.
Nearly a century later, Leeds Resources continues to operate with the same values that shaped its earliest years: professionalism, long-term thinking, and trust built person by person.

We work closely with trusted producers on the supply side and with manufacturers on the demand side—helping both navigate grades, specifications, availability, and long-term planning. Our role is not transactional. We add value by understanding how fiber performs, how it is used downstream, and where it best fits.

Carrying the Legacy Forward
Jackson Jones represents the sixth generation of the family business. While pursuing a degree in Business at Oregon State University, he works full-time in the field during summers with his father and grandfather, and supports company operations and digital presence during the school year.
