The Jones family entered the lumber business in 1926, building its foundation alongside the mills, forests, and communities of the Pacific Northwest. Early generations gained hands-on knowledge of timber, grades, and milling practices—experience earned through decades of working directly with producers and customers.
As the industry evolved, so did the family’s role. What began as direct involvement in lumber production ultimately grew into a brokerage focused on relationships, reliability, and deep product understanding.
Nearly a century later, Leeds Resources continues to operate with the same values that shaped its earliest years: professionalism, long-term thinking, and trust built person by person.

Leeds Resources operates in the essential space between premium softwood mills and the manufacturers who supply retail, commercial, and architectural markets nationwide.
We work closely with trusted producers on the supply side and with manufacturers on the demand side—helping both navigate grades, specifications, availability, and long-term planning. Our role is not transactional. We add value by understanding how fiber performs, how it is used downstream, and where it best fits.
This positioning allows us to create durable partnerships built on consistency, communication, and mutual success.

Our sourcing is deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest—one of the world’s most respected softwood regions. Leeds Resources maintains long-standing relationships with five core regional mills, built through years of trust and consistent performance.
From this foundation, we support a growing network of 40+ manufacturers across the United States, providing dependable access to premium fiber and stable supply.
And if a customer doesn’t see a specific species, grade, or profile listed, we can locate it. Our strength lies not just in what we carry, but in the relationships that allow us to source what’s needed.

Leeds Resources is operated today by multiple generations of the Jones family, each contributing experience, perspective, and continuity.
This generational structure allows the company to remain grounded in tradition while staying responsive to modern markets, technologies, and customer needs.

Jackson Jones represents the sixth generation of the family business. While pursuing a degree in Business at Oregon State University, he works full-time in the field during summers with his father and grandfather, and supports company operations and digital presence during the school year.
Whether you’re a mill partner or a manufacturer seeking dependable sourcing, Leeds Resources is committed to long-term relationships and straightforward service.
If you don’t see what you’re looking for, contact us. Our network allows us to source it.
